Train

Pinhoe Railway Station is located on the West of England Mainline and is served by services travelling between Exeter St. David station and London Waterloo Station. The station is an easy 18 minute walk or 5 minute cycle from Hillside Gardens.

The station does not have a ticket office, but there is a ticket machine on the southern platform which allows tickets to be purchased and pre-ordered tickets to be collected.

The station has racks for parking bikes, but these are not undercover.

Each platform has a shelter and seating, and the station is advertised as being wheelchair accessible, although passengers need to cross a level crossing between the platforms.

“A businessman needs three umbrellas – one to leave at the office, one to leave at home, and one to leave on the train”

Paul Dickson

South Western Railway has a cycle policy which can be found here, and they ask that space for bikes is booked at least 24 hours before you intend to travel.

Alternately, you could hire a bike at your destination. South West Trains advertise cycle hire at Richmond Station, and brompton hire at London Waterloo, Guildford, Southampton and Woking.
